KATHMANDU, March 4: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has forewarned that the country will continue to experience unrest as long as he is alive.
Addressing a gathering organized by Shahid Pratishthan Nepal in Kathmandu on Monday, PM Dahal emphasized that a tumult will persist throughout the nation as long as he is alive.
PM Dahal said that since the Maoist party is like a flowing river, it will continue to cause upheaval at all times. “Today is also a day of a new upheaval. This is a big deal. There is a state of revolutionary unity and the initiative of greater communist unity is also underway,” he said.
Why are we alive?
He said that the country will experience tumult as long as he is alive.
Likewise, he declared the martyrs of the armed conflict under his leadership as national martyrs and promised that the remaining ones will be declared martyrs soon.
PM Dahal said that after the work of the peace process is completed, the issues of compensation to the families of the martyrs and missing persons, employment, etc will be addressed.
He expressed displeasure with the former Maoist constituents for not openly praising the decision of the Maoist-led government to declare the martyrs of the armed conflict as national martyrs and to announce a national holiday on People's War Day.
