Experience matters in life in many regards. Simply put, experience means something we are in practical contact with and our observation of facts or events. In other words, experience is about learning by being involved and participating. So, experience leaves an impression for something, which is often hard to express by words.

A few days ago, I visited Nashik of Maharashtra (India) on an industrial trip. It was a great experience for me because I was able to cope up with new culture, language, food and climate. Some wise men have rightly said: “Nothing ever becomes real until it is experienced.” Experience matters a lot in people’s lives when it comes to understanding, accepting, articulating, and communicating about anything rather than living with just a gut feeling.

For me, life experience means to share, to learn, to travel, to discover, and to give. For sure, everyone has to face difficulties while building a beautiful career. Everything has a cost. However, in the past century, hard work and long hours were the requisites for success, whereas in today’s world, focus and creativity are the conditions for success. Therefore, by careful understanding of changing times, one may achieve success at the end.

After all, you should keep your eye on the experiences you are trying to create. Steve Jobs once said that, “You cannot connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. Hence, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

If you don’t know what you want, you have probably made things too complex or too reasonable. So, listen to that voice within. Follow it, even if that means only taking one step forward. Indeed, experiences are what make us human. They are what make life meaningful. You can put a price tag on many things in life, but certain experiences cannot be bought with money, right?

Certain experiences can only be had after years of hard work and directed focus. For example, you cannot have the experience of running a successful company without making commitments to all involved. Similarly, you cannot have the experience of earning a PhD without years of schooling.

Sometimes, it takes courage to create an amazing experience. You may genuinely want to tell a family member how much you love and appreciate them. This level of vulnerability and honesty may seem risky to you. However, if you muster strength and act, you should radically alter the situation for better, and thus create a beautiful and powerful experience you may not have had in life so far.
