Passengers who have got airplane tickets for different destinations waiting for airplane since 30 October have been living in the guest houses and hotels in the airport town for over a week. [break]
People from Rukum, Salyan, Jajarkot and as far as Dolpa districts who travel using the Chaurajahari airport have been left in the lurch due to the halt in flights. Three flights used to operate from here.
The halt in airplane flights is attributed to the lack of planes at Nepalgunj airport, the regional airport, to operate flights to the different mountainous districts of the Mid-west and Far-west Regions as flights could not take place from Kathmandu due to the inclement weather, airport officials said.
