APF divers deployed to search for missing Bangladeshi national in Bagmati River

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: A Bangladeshi national has gone missing after falling into the Bagmati River in the Sundarijal area in Kathmandu on Saturday. Police said he accidentally fell into the river while taking photographs.

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: A Bangladeshi national has gone missing after falling into the Bagmati River in the Sundarijal area in Kathmandu on Saturday. Police said he accidentally fell into the river while taking photographs.


A team of Armed Police Force (APF) personnel including divers has been deployed to search for him from today.

According to the APF, a team of 10 APF personnel including 4 divers from the No. 20 Disaster Rescue Team of the APF has been deployed to search for the missing Bangladeshi national.


Meanwhile, four Indian nationals and one Nepali national who went missing in the Rani Jhula forest at around 7 PM on Saturday have been found. The APF said a team deployed from 22 Guheshwari Batallion found them at 1.50 PM and handed them over to Kharipati Police Circle in Bhaktapur.
