KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Adit Subedi and Abhilasha Bista have won the U-14 boys’ and girls’ singles titles of the 15th Jayakar Memorial National Junior Tennis Tournament respectively on Friday.
At the Satdobato Tennis Court, Lalitpur, Subedi thumped Nisan Shrestha 6-0, 6-0 while Bista defeated Isha Shree Shah 6-4, 6-4.
Eva Adhikari and Aarav Samrat Hada clinched the U-10 girls’ and boys’ singles titles respectively.
Adhikari overcame Sunira Thapa 6-0, 6-3 while Hada beat Pranav Manandhar 6-0, 6-3.
Abhilasha and Prerana into semis
Similarly, Sunira Thapa and Saksham Bikram Shah were declared the winners of the U-9 girls’ and boys’ singles titles.
Thapa beat Prasamsha Moktan 4-1, 5-3 while Shah overcame Ayushman Hajur Ghale 4-2, 40.
Meanwhile, Mayanka Rana and Mahika Rana won the U-18 girls’ doubles title defeating Abhilasha Bista and Bijisha Shrestha on the same day.
The Rana sisters defeated Bista and Shrestha 6-3, 6-3.
Also, Samrakshyak B Bajracharya and Samyak B Bajracharya clinched the U-18 boys’ doubles title beating Pranav Khanal and Adit Subedi.
Samrakhsyak and Samyak overcame Khanal and Subedi 6-3, 6-4.
