Fire in Balaju industrial area brought under control (Photo feature)

According to the District Police Range (DPR), Kathmandu, separate teams of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army have been rushed to the spot after receiving information about the fire.

KATHMANDU, April 12: A massive fire that broke out at a plastic factory in Balaju industrial area of Kathmandu on Saturday has been doused after joint effort from personnel mobilized from security agencies.


According to the District Police Range (DPR), Kathmandu, separate teams of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army have been rushed to the spot after receiving information about the fire.

According to Spokesperson for the DPR SP Apil Raj Bohara, three fire engines were sent to the spot to douse the fire in the first phase. In total, as many as eight fire trucks were used to douse the fire.


The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be ascertained.
