Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus and Missouri Southern State University sign pact

DAMAULI, April 19: The Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus at Bhadgaon, Byas municipality -1 in Tanahu and the Missouri Southern State University of Missouri, USA have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for collaboration in education.


Chairman of the Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus, Ram Chandra Basnet, and vice-chair of the Missouri Sothern State University, Brad Hudson, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions at a programme here on Thursday.

The MoU paves the way for the students and professors of both these institutions to pursue higher studies, training, and research at each other's institutions, provides opportunities for educational exchange, participate in seminars and conferences, which will make it easy for acquiring knowledge on international education system, Campus Chief of Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus, Maha Prasad Hadkhale, said.


MSSU's vice-chair Hudson expressed happiness to have been able to work together with Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus. He said MSSU has signed such MoU s with various colleges in 17 countries and the Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus was the first community college in Nepal that they have reached the agreement with.


He added that students from the Adikabi Bhanubhakta Campus can study more than 100 subjects in Missouri Southern State University (MSSU). MSSU's dean Michael Sanders said MSSU has signed similar MoUs with colleges from Germany, Sweden, France, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, Ukraine, among other countries. He said the MoU has helped in the exchange of experience among student and professors of both educational institutions. According to him, two Nepali students are studying at MSSU at present. More than 6,000 students from 45 countries are currently studying at MSSU.
