MUGU, Nov 26: The Ayurved Health Centre Mugu has started providing acupuncture service. This service was available only at Karnali Province Ayurved Hospital and Research Centre and not at other ayurvedic health centers in the province.
Center Chief Laxmi Prasad Pandey said the District Ayurved Health Center Mugu is the first institution to start acupuncture service among the district ayurvedic health centers of the province.
Understanding acupuncture
He said the acupuncture service will be provided for free to the patients of orthopedic and neurological diseases. The service can be given to four to five persons at a time, it is said.
Patients were compelled to go to Kathmandu, Nepalgunj and Surkhet or other districts for availing the acupuncture service before. Hari Shahi of Soru Rural Municipality-1 said the Ayurved Health Center Mugu should make the service regular.
