Aanbu Khairani road accident: Seven injured discharged

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Seven persons, who were receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after an Indian tourist bus plunged into the Marsyangdi River on Friday, were discharged from the hospital on Monday.

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: Seven persons, who were receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after an Indian tourist bus plunged into the Marsyangdi River on Friday, were discharged from the hospital on Monday. 


A total of 16 injured were admitted to TUTH, Kathmandu.  27 Indian nationals were killed in the fateful incident.

The passenger bus UP 53 FT 7623 heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara had fallen some 200 meters off the road into the river, killing 27 persons—Indian tourists on a visit to Nepal. 


Dr Rohit Singh at TUTH said that nine others are receiving treatment at TUTH and their health condition is improving. Four persons are being treated by keeping them in the ICU of the hospital.


The dead bodies of other Indian nationals were sent to India on Saturday in a plane of the Indian Air Force after completing the postmortem at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.
