TANAHUN, Oct 26: The newly constructed campus building at Aanbu Khaireni Campus, located in Aanbu Khaireni Rural Municipality, Tanahun, was inaugurated on Saturday under the ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’ initiative.
The Government of India’s grant under the ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’ program facilitated the construction of a two-storey campus building, complete with essential facilities. The project was implemented as a High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) through an agreement between the Governments of India and Nepal and executed by the District Coordination Committee, Tanahun.
According a press statement issued by the institution, the project, completed with financial assistance from the Government of India at a total cost of Rs 30.01 million, was officially opened by Avinash Kumar Singh, First Secretary, Embassy of India in Kathmandu, alongside Shanti Raman Wagle, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Tanahun, and Shukra Chuman, Chairman of Aanbu Khaireni Rural Municipality, Tanahun. The inauguration was attended by political leaders, government officials, social workers, campus management representatives, professors, teachers, parents, and students.

“The Chief of the District Coordination Committee, the Chairman of Aanbu Khaireni Rural Municipality, and other political representatives expressed appreciation for India’s ongoing support toward Nepal’s development priorities, noting that such initiatives significantly contribute to improving the well-being of communities across various sectors,” the statement reads.
Established in 2005, Aanbu Khaireni Campus is a community-based institution affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) which currently offers Bachelor’s degree programs in Business Studies (BBS) and Education (B.Ed). The campus serves around 300 students, with 90 percent of the student body comprising female students.
The statement further reads, “The newly constructed campus building will greatly enhance educational facilities for students of Aanbu Khaireni Campus, creating a conducive environment for learning and contributing to the broader development of education in the region.”
