KATHMANDU, March 10: Nepali Congress General Secretary Bishwa Prakash Sharma has suggested to CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli to participate in theoretical and ideological debates.

Stating that the Election Commission (EC) was free to decide the color of the ballot paper, General Secretary Sharma argued that a person like a former Prime Minister should not argue over the issue of color.

General Secretary Sharma suggested to Chairman Oli to keep the dignity of his post by questioning only the logical issues as the political parties can only question the decision of the EC based on facts and logic.

Furthermore, commenting on a statement made by Chairman Oli at a public function a few days ago that he would not accept the EC’s decision to print green ballot papers, Sharma urged Oli not to be afraid of color. He advised Oli to correct his strategy rather than the color of the ballot paper. Sharma also suggested to Chairman Oli to review the assurances which he had given when he was in the government.

Earlier, Chairman Oli had accused the Nepali Congress (NC) of making the ballot papers green to manipulate the voters.
