Ballot boxes set on fire in Bajura

BAJURA, Nov 20: In Bajura, a ballot box was set on fire on Election Day. A ballot box was set on fire at the polling station of Bhagwati Aadharbhut School located in Ward No. 2 of Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality. It is understood that the ballot boxes were set on fire by the supporters of the parties and groups boycotting the election.

BAJURA, Nov 20: In Bajura, a ballot box was set on fire on Election Day. A ballot box was set on fire at the polling station of Bhagwati Aadharbhut School located in Ward No. 2 of Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality. It is understood that the ballot boxes were set on fire by the supporters of the parties and groups boycotting the election.


According to the police, the ballot box was set on fire while voting was going on in the constituency number (1) center for the proportional representation of the provincial assembly. After the ballot box was set on fire, voting was stopped at that polling station. The fire was extinguished by pouring water.

Similarly, polling has been postponed due to a dispute between UML and Congress workers in Budhinanda village ward number 5. Similarly, the police said that there was tension between the alliance and UML activists at various polling stations and centers in the district including Budhiganga Municipality Wards 5, 6, and 8.
