'A day in the life of Kathmandu' released

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: 'A Day in the Life of Kathmandu', a pictorial book depicting the daily life of Kathmandu Valley, has been launched today.

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: 'A Day in the Life of Kathmandu', a pictorial book depicting the daily life of Kathmandu Valley, has been launched today. 



At a programme organised by the Indian Embassy, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat released the book by writer and photographer Javed Ashraf. 



On the occasion, Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Mahat expressed the belief that the book would help know more about the daily life, tradition and culture of the Kathmandu Valley. 



Minister Mahat lauded the activity carried out by Ashraf as cultural ambassador of Nepal by publishing the book. 



Similarly, Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, expressed the view that the writer and photographer has helped further strengthen relations between Nepal and India by publishing the compilation of photos depicting the life of Kathmandu in book form. 



Likewise, writer Ashraf said that the book includes photos of traditional business, religious activities, modern tourism and mountaineering. RSS
