In the men´s 80 kg category, Eastern Division´s Sudarshan Thapa secured a place in the semifinals. In the men´s 74 kg section, Pratap Tamang of Central Division, Birendra Giri of Engineering Directorate, Eastern Division´s Deu Bahadur Rana and Valley Division Headquarters´ Ram Dutt Bhatta reached the last four.
Likewise, Uddav Thapa of Western Division reached the semifinals in the men´s 68 kg category along with Anil Raya of Central Division, Surendra KC of Air Defence Directorate and Tharjen Lama of Engineering Directorate.
In the men´s 63 kg category, Yagya Bahadur Oli of Mid-western Division, Sadan Thapa Magar of Special Force, Devendra Thing of Eastern Division and Laxman Giri of Western Region progressed to the semifinals.
Pradeep Lama of Western Division, Binaya Tamang of Special Force, Meetharam Khatri of Central Division and Naubalak Chaudhary of Eastern Division reached the last four in the men´s 58 kg section.
In the men´s 54 kg category, Rajendra Thapa of Mid-western Division, Prabin Gurung of Special Force, Sanjeev Ojha of Eastern Division and Sanjay Tamang of Western Division secured semifinal berths.
According to Nepal Taekwondo Association, altogether 88 players of the army are competing in the event that concludes on Sunday.
