According to Spokesperson at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Dipak Dhital, Nepali delegation will focus on broadening and diversifying bilateral economic relations between the two countries.
The delegation will hold discussions on various issues including trade and commerce, investment, cooperation in energy, health, education, tourism, civil aviation, culture and sports and cooperation in information technology. [break]
The finance minister level Nepal-Pakistan JEC was set up in 1983 with a view to promote economic cooperation between the two countries.
The fifth meeting of JEC was held on March 29-30 in 2005 in Kathmandu, which determined various possibilities of cooperation in the field of health, education, human resource development, trade, industry and tourism.
The 6th JEC meeting scheduled for 2006 was rescheduled for 2009, but was cancelled due to various reasons. The same meeting was rescheduled for 2011 and again it was cancelled at the last minute.
