KATHMANDU, March 12: The saying, ‘If wisdom fades, go to Kashi’ reflects the deep-rooted educational ties between Nepal and India. However, the tragic death of Prakriti Lamsal, a Nepali student at a technical university in Odisha, has sent shockwaves across both nations. Lamsal, 21, died by suicide in her hostel room on February 16, allegedly following mental torture by a classmate. The incident has garnered significant media attention and public outcry in Nepal, India, and beyond.
