TU conducts FSU elections peacefully

Tribhuvan University (TU) successfully conducted the Free Students’ Union (FSU) elections on Tuesday across its constituent and affiliated campuses.

KATHMANDU, March 19: Tribhuvan University (TU) successfully conducted the Free Students’ Union (FSU) elections on Tuesday across its constituent and affiliated campuses.


Voting took place from 8 AM to 4 PM. Member Secretary of the Central Election Monitoring and Coordination Committee, Pashupati Adhikari, stated that apart from a few campuses, the elections were conducted peacefully across all campuses.

According to him, elections were held in 38 constituent campuses and 250 affiliated campuses.


He further said that the election committees formed in the respective campuses began vote counting from Tuesday evening.


In the Kathmandu Valley, elections were conducted at Nepal Commerce Campus, Patan Multiple Campus, Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Thapathali Engineering Campus, and Mahendra Ratna Campus.


TU holds FSU elections every two years.
