The company has introduced the watches under five different series: Ironman Road Trainer Heart Rate, Ironman30-Lap Shock Resistant Combo, Ironman Race Trainer Kit, Road Trainer Heart Rate Monitor and Ironman Triathlon 42 Lap Combo.[break]
According to Prapti Neupane, a sales executive at the Timex Department of Him Electronics, the watches are perfect for the health-conscious as they have features that enable owners to monitor heart rate during various activities.
The T5K719 model under the Road Trainer series is water resistant up to 100 meters and features a 1.7-inch case.
"With heart rate monitoring feature, customers can track their heart rate while walking, jogging, or swimming. The watch also measures calories burnt for efficient monitoring of workout progress," said Neupane.
The watch has an LCD display with large numerals for added comfort and comes with a resin strap and a resin case. It is available for Rs 12,300.
The T5K200 model under the Shock Resistant series has features such as illumination in low-light conditions, 200-meter water-resistant capability, shock-resistant in and out of water, analog-digital movement and mineral crystal, among others. The company has priced the watch at Rs 9,024.
Likewise, T5K447, under the Trainer Kit series, features the latest 2.4 Ghz digital transmission technology, continuous heart rate measurement, 10 workout memory, five automatic linked interval timer with training zones that act like a personal coach.
According to the company, the watch comes with Data Exchanger USB device and GPS that allows owners to download heart rate monitor wirelessly to a Timex online training log. The watch is priced at Rs 10,500 and comes with a two-year warranty.
T5K212, under the Road Trainer series, features target zones, average heart rate monitor, recovery timer, maximum zone calculation, digital transmission and an owner replaceable battery. The watch is available for Rs 10,472.
T5K406, under the Triathlon series, another recently introduced watch, has a sporty look, dual tech feature through which digital screen can be turned off, time zones, alarms and excellent illumination in low light condition, among others.
The watch with stainless steel case and a bracelet is available for Rs 10,810. "The company provides a two-year warranty on the watch, said Neupane.
