"Sales of the watches have increased in the local market because Timex watches are now in vogue," said Adhikari. He further added that major buyers of Timex watch are teenagers and youngsters.
"Compared to the high end branded watches, people are attracted to the reasonably priced ones," said Adhikari. Timex watches are available from Rs 1,500 to Rs 25,000.
Adhikari disclosed that the newly introduced watches are available in a range between Rs 2,200 to Rs 22,000. The company aims to sell around 600 units in three months.
Timex watches available in more than 1,000 different models are imported from India. "Branded watches are one of the most loved accessories across the world," said Adhakari.
"Demand for branded watches goes up from mid-June when the wedding season starts," said Prapti Neupane, sales executive of Him Electronics.
