Officials with Him Electronics, the authorized distributor of Timex in Nepal, said the new models were part of Crystal Collection, Retrograde and Expedition series.[break]
"We have introduced Crystal Collection targeting both male and female which is popular among couples who want to put on the same-brand watches," said Janardan Adhikari, sales and service executive of Him Electronics. He further added that The Crystal collection watches were priced between Rs 4,500 and Rs 12,000.
“Timex Expedition is also known as sporty watch. The company introduced this watch focusing on the younger generation considered the major buyers of the sport watches,” said Adhikari.
Adhikari said Expedition watches also gives information on sunrise and sunset time and also incorporates a compass.
Expedition series are available in more than 30 models and are priced between 5,581 and Rs 25,000.
Similarly, Timex Retrograde watches featured with calendar are priced at Rs 9,000 to Rs 15,000. They are available in both leather and steel straps in around 50 models.
Timex brand watches which are available in around 15,000 different models so far in Nepal. The company targets to sell around 1000 units of Timex watches in three months.
