The expo is organized by the Information Communication Technology (ICT) Association of Nepal with the aim of motivating people to get in touch with latest and most innovative technology. [break]
The event was inaugurated by Bed Raj Adhikari ´Gopal´ of Tesram, Sindhuli, who passed SLC exam despite being a porter. According to Sagar Dev Lakhe president of ICT Association of Nepal, the main motto of the event is to showcase the latest developments in the ICT sector.
The expo has several products for different age groups from children to the elderly. New designs of computers, laptops and mobile phone sets are the special attraction of the fair.
“PCs, laptops, servers, touch pads, mobile phones, 3D, CCTV, security system and wireless projectors and many more ICT products have been displayed in the event,” Lakhe told Republica.
Lakhe disclosed that on the 4th day of the event talks program regarding plans and policies of ICT will be held.
The five-day event will last till January 9. There will be 144 stalls displaying products from over 50 established global brands at the expo. Special discounts will also be offered to visitors making a purchase at the expo.
The organizers expect a footfall of around 200,000 visitors at the expo.
