The president is preparing to renew the deadline for a third time as the political parties have failed to recommend a prime ministerial candidate to the head of state. [break]The president had extended the deadline for a second time last Thursday.
After repeated calls by the president during informal discussions yielded no result, Dr Yadav had issued a deadline in writing on November 23.
“The president is scheduled to hold a meeting with the chiefs of the four major political forces tomorrow [Thursday] and he will subsequently take a decision with regard to extension of the timeline,” the president´s press advisor, Rajendra Dahal, told Republica.
UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and Coordinator of United Madhesi Democratic Front (UDMF) Bijay Gachchhadar are invited to the meeting.

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Dahal called on the president at Shital Niwas on Wednesday morning and made a committment to come up with a result within the new timeframe to be issued by the president.
