The selected participants will take part in the programme for one year, during which they will develop leadership skills and build networks with peers and industry experts. The programme also aims to help them prepare for future opportunities to contribute to Nepal’s development.
The embassy said programmes such as USYC Nepal reflect the United States’ longstanding commitment to working with Nepal’s emerging leaders across diverse professional fields.
The United States is marking the 250th anniversary of its independence this year. The embassy said a more prosperous Nepal would create opportunities for trade, innovation and long-term cooperation between Nepal and the United States.
