Do you get up in the morning and hate to see puffy eyes, we get you! The skin around the eyes is the thinnest and needs more attention than you think. With lack of sleep, tiredness and even crying, the skin around your eyes can swell, making your eyes look puffy. Here are a few tips and tricks you can follow to reduce puffy eyes:
Get better sleep
One of the key reasons you get puffy eyes is lack of sleep. Every adult needs at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep. If you're not sleeping enough, you need to track your sleeping pattern and get proper sleep.
How to avoid puffy eyes in the morning
Drink enough water
Water retention can also cause puffiness. Make sure you drink enough water during the day. And, also make a habit to drink water before sleeping. This will keep you well hydrated and reduce puffy eyes.
Avoid too much salt
Eating food rich in salt can cause additional fluid retention in your body. Avoid high-sodium food and snacks, especially dinner!
Change your sleeping position
If you sleep on your side or stomach, try to raise your head while sleeping. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your head, this will avoid fluid settling around your eyes.
Try cold compress
For a quick way to fix puffy eyes, keep a few spoons in the freezer. Place a spoon on the concerned area. This will help to reduce the puffiness by constricting the blood vessels.
