The 78-km-long final stage, from Kagbeni to Beni, was full of incidents. Deepak Rai (Heatmax UK) was an overall 16 minutes ahead of his nearest rival Padam (Torq), but a mechanical failure early on forced Dipak to settle for the overall second position. Rajeev Rai (One world MTB), who was giving it his all to take the final stage, was involved in a collision with a local bus near Tatopani and suffered serious injuries; he was forced to retire from the race.
The Yak Attack mountain bike race started from Besi Sahar, in Lamjung, and ended at Beni, in Myagdi.
