KATHMANDU, Sept 28: There have been disaster incidents across the country, resulting in 49 deaths so far due to the continuous rainfall over the past three days.
Among them, 32 people lost their lives in the Kathmandu Valley, specifically in Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, and Kathmandu. According to Nepal Police co-spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bishwo Adhikari, 34 people have been injured in the disaster incidents, and 40 are currently out of contact.

SSP Adhiklari also said that the main highways have been blocked in 44 locations across the country. The police are continuing rescue operations in coordination with all agencies.
So far, more than a thousand people have been rescued. In Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur alone, there have been 17 injuries and 12 people are missing in the disaster incidents.
The Armed Police Force has urged people to contact their hotline number 1114 for emergency rescue.
