KATHMANDU, June 2: The government has promoted Minister of State for Communication and  Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota to the post of Minister for Communication and Information Technology on Friday.

With the appointment of Upendra Yadav as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Helath and Population, State Minister Baskota was promoted as the full minister.

The portfolio of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology was lying vacant for a long time.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered oath of office and secrecy to two new ministers from Federal Socialist Forum Nepal today.
