POKHARA, June 6: Chairman of UCPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday said that a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ on a change in the government will come into effect after endorsement of the budget.
“I am a gentleman, hope the prime minister too is a gentleman,” Dahal quipped, “I am hopeful the agreement will be implemented.”

He was of the opinion that talking too much about the agreement was unnecessary; adding that national unity will take a concrete form after the budget gets endorsed.
Dahal stressed on the formation a consensus government for implementing the constitution, solving the current political turmoil and reconstruction among others.
“Such government is necessary to implement the constitution and rope in the dissenting Madhesi parties to an agreement,” he said.
