Shah, Sodari convicted of graft

KATHMANDU, June 9: The Special Court on Thursday convicted Anil Kumar Shah and Prem Bahadur Sodari, manager and acting manager respectively of Rastriya Banijya Bank, Gulariya branch, of embezzling Rs 9 million from the bank account.



"It has been proved that Shah and Sodari misused Rs 9 million for their personal benefits," reads the verdict. [break]



The court has also slapped four years jail and fine of Rs 4.5 million each on the two. Another accused Subil Kumar Rai has been exonerated in the same case.
