Referring to the President´s call for formation of a consensus government within a week, Sitaula said that such a government will not be formed within the time frame.
It will be wise if the President extends time and takes another initiative for formation of a consensus government, he said, adding that Congress is still in favor of consensus government.
Claiming that neither support nor protest greeted him when Congress President Sushil Koirala proposed his name as party General Secretary, Sitaula said that Central Committee will soon finalize this issue.
