2 petrol pumps sealed following complaints of black marketing

SIRAHA, Nov 9: Local administration of Siraha has sealed two petrol pumps on charge of black marketing. The police sealed Murarka Oil Trade of Lahan and Gupta Oil Store of Dhangadhi on Sunday evening, according to DSP Uma Prasad Chaturbedi, after several complaints were received against those petrol pumps.



The locals had told the police that the petrol pumps had been cheating on the quantity of petrol and were engaged in black marketing.

Rambali Mahato, proprietor of Murarka Oil Trade, and Dilip Gupta, manager of Gupta Oil Store have been arrested on the charge of black marketing fuel, said DSP Chaturbedi.


The arrested have been charged for selling petroleum products at a cost higher than the market price. The police said it was carrying out investigation into the two fuel station owners.
