In a post on social media, Thapa stated that RPP would offer the full support of its five lawmakers if the new government agrees to amend the constitution to reinstate Nepal as a Hindu state while ensuring religious freedom and equality.
“RSP and the new government led by Balen Shah are two seats short of a two-thirds majority in parliament,” Thapa wrote. “If the Shah government is ready to amend the constitution to make Nepal a Hindu state with religious freedom and equality, the five lawmakers of the RPP will extend their full support.”
