Bara accident toll reaches 9

BIRGUNJ, July 10: The death toll in Friday´s Bara bus accident reached nine on Saturday morning.



The speeding bus (Na 4 Kha 3043) heading to Bayalbas of Sarlahi from Kathmandu had lost control at 14 Kilo of the Pathlaiya-Nijgadh road section on Friday afternoon, leaving two persons dead on the spot. Seven others succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at hospitals in Nijgadh and Birgunj.



The dead have been identified as Chandra Kumari Karki of Chandranigahapur, policeman Kanhaiya Harijan of Butwal Training Center, Thekan Raut, Shiva Chandra Poudel and Sapan Raut of Rautahat, Subhadra Poudel of Hetauda and Sabitri Thapa of Naikap, Kathmandu.



Two of the deceased have not been identified yet.
