Holiday sought on Bisket Jatra

KATHMANDU, March 22: A writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court on Monday demanding public holiday on the last day of the Nepali month of Chaitra for Bisket Jatra festival in Bhaktapur and a few other districts where the festival is celebrated.



Bal Krishna Shrestha of Bhaktapur filed the writ, demanding the court order to the government to grant public holiday on Bisket Jatra.



PMO, Local Development Ministry, Ministry of Culture and CA secretariat have been made defendants in the writ.
