The police said property worth at least Rs. 700,000 was gutted when the fire engulfed houses of Bhola Yadav and Babai Yadav.
Meanwhile, a police personal died in a motorbike accident on Tuesday night. The deceased is identified as Purna Bahadur Gurung, Assistant Police Inspector.
Gurung was injured when the motorbike (Ko 1 Cha 4361) he was driving met with an accident en route to Biratnagar from Itahari.
He died at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan this morning.
