TEHRATHUM, Dec 16: A massive fire has broken out at Sakranti Bazaar VDC-6 in the district on Friday.
The fire which started from the house of Agni Sedhain, has destroyed other 16 houses so far in the town, according to Chhabi Kandanagwa, a local.

According to Kandangwa, the fire broke out at 9 am and is still out of control and the locals are taking their belongings to a safe area.
Locals and Nepal Police personnel are trying to douse fire with the help of an excavator. However, their efforts are in vain as the strong wind is blowing constantly, Amrit Bastola, a local, told Republica Online.
There are around 150 houses in Atharai Bazaar. A fire-engine is being brought from neighbouring district headquarters Phidim to contain the blaze, said Chief District Officer Menuka Nyaupane.
