SUNSARI, Nov 27: A fire broke out in a Musahari settlement in Bhokraha rural municipality-6, Sunsari, on Sunday evening reducing 25 houses to ashes, and destroying property worth approximately Rs 5 million, the police said.
The blaze caught the house of local resident Kalu Rishidev, and swept through the settlement, the locals said.
The inferno was contained later with the help of the police, the locals and a fire engine.
Meanwhile, the fire victims are finding it difficult to save them from cold as they are living under the open sky. They are surviving on only available noodles and beaten-rice.
