KHOTANG, March 25: One hundred and fourteen patients in Khotang district who were suffering for long from complicated eye conditions have been benefitted from a free eye camp set up here.
The eye camp was set up on Thursday for the benefit of eye patients suffering from complicated eye diseases. As many as 38 eye surgeries were performed in the three days long camp.
A team of 10 eye doctors and surgeons including Dr T Chhiring Wangchuk Bhutia rendered their services at the eye camp.
The free eye surgery camp was organised as part of the East Regional Eye Care Programme with the technical support of the Sagarmatha Chaudhari Eye Hospital, Lahan. Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Khotang coordinated in the eye surgery camp held at District Hospital,Diktel and the Primary Health Centre, Ainselukharka.
Seven hundred and fifty one people were provided with free eye check-up services at the District Hospital and 481 at Ainselukharka.(RSS)
