Youth killed as truck hits scooter in Bhaktapur

BHAKTAPUR, Aug 27: A pillion rider was killed after the truck, Na 5 Kha 7813, hit the scooter, Ba 71 Pa 2378, at Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-15, Gatthaghar on Friday. 

According to police, the deceased is Osir Tamang, 37, of Dhading and currently living in Tarkeshwor-8 in Kathmandu. Seriously injured Tamang died while receiving treatment at Madhyapur Hospital.  

Spokesperson Shekhar Khanal at Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur said that truck driver Ananda Kumar Khadka of Kavre, who was on the run after the accident, was nabbed from Koteshwor.
