At a time when the sun is scorching and the rainfall is erratic in Kathmandu, it will be best to visit the newly opened ‘Whoopee Land Amusement and Water Park’.

The park began its services on July 6, making it the second water park operating in the Kathmandu valley. The amusement park is located near Chobhar, about 3.5 km away from Balkhu.
A large sculpture of The Incredible Hulk welcomes you at the entrance. There are other structures of famous movie characters as much effort has gone to give the park a Hollywood theme.

There are 17 different rides in the park and various restaurants, food stalls and gift shops are also present for the likings of the visitors.

Currently, Whoopee Land is offering a monsoon discount with reduced ticket prices for a limited time. Till July 20, adult visitors will only have to pay Rs 495 in the weekdays, and Rs 295 during the holidays. For the kids, the ticket price is Rs 295 for both weekdays and holidays.

And also, there’s free entry for senior citizens above 65 and kids who are below three feet. The park has a cash card system, with which visitors can make purchases.

The establishment intends to charge standard prices of Rs 825 for adults and Rs 475 for children after the monsoon discount offer expires.

It also has committed to mobilize Rs 5 from all purchases on developmental projects in Chobhar.

The park opens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
