West Indies 'A' playing wearing masks amid concerns over air pollution

KATHMANDU, May 1: In the third match of the five-match T20 series between Nepal and West Indies 'A', some West Indies players have opted to wear masks while playing due to heightened air pollution levels in Kathmandu.

The air pollution in Kathmandu has reached concerning levels, prompting the visiting players to take precautions to avoid the risk of respiratory issues.

As Nepal chase a target of 228 runs in the ongoing match at the TU International Cricket Ground, some of the players, including the wicketkeeper, Andre Fletcher, are wearing masks while fielding.

Most of the West Indies 'A' team members visiting Nepal are preparing for the T20 World Cup, which is set to take place in two months. West Indies is co-hosting the World Cup, and the series in Nepal is part of their preparation for the upcoming tournament.
