Two killed in separate accidents

BIRATNAGAR, April 16: Two individuals lost their lives in separate motorcycle accidents — one in Urlabari, Morang, and the other in Baraha Chhetra, Sunsari.

On Monday evening, a motorcycle (Me 7 Pa 8480) traveling from Kanepokhari towards Birtamod hit a pedestrian at Urlabari-3 in Morang.

After the collision, the motorcycle, which was out of control, collided with a tanker bearing Indian registration plate traveling from the opposite direction.

The accident claimed the life of 33-year-old Dhan Bahadur Jogi, the motorcycle driver, while also injuring Ram Kishor Chaudhary, a 45-year-old pedestrian, and Darpan Jogi, the pillion rider.

On Monday, a person was killed when a motorcycle (Pra 1-02-042 Pa 5049) going from Chatara to Pakali lost control and hit an electric pole along the Pakali-Chatara road section at Baraha Chhetra-5 Jamtoki in Sunsari.

Sujan Gautam, a 22-year-old resident of Shadananda-1, Nepaledanda, Bhojpur, who was driving the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries in the accident, while 23-year-old Rudra Luintel, the pillion rider of the same motorcycle sustained injuries.
