Traffic disrupted at Daunne of East-West Highway after road subsidence
TRIVENI (NAWALPARASI), Aug 13: Transportation at Daunne of Nawalpur has been disrupted due to road subsidence last night.
Only one-way traffic is allowed at the Daunne section of the East-West Highway in order to repair the road that caved in.
The road would be partially operational till 1:00 PM today, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bed Bahadur Paudel. “It will be repaired by then,” he said.
DSP Paudel further said the road collapsed at Daunne of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2. The maintenance works will be carried out to prevent further damage.
The vehicles using this road section are urged to adopt alternative routes till the completion of maintenance.
