TMLP to vote for no-confidence motion against Oli govt

KATHMANDU, July 20:  Tarai-Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) has decided to vote for the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oil.

A Parliamentary Party meeting of the TMLP held at its central party headquarters in Bijuli Bazaar on Wednesday decided to this effect.

“The meeting has decided to vote for the no-confidence motion against the KP Sharma Oli-led government,” reads the statement issued by the party after the meeting.

The meeting has also drawn the attention of the Nepali Congress-CPN (Maoist Center) alliance toward the 11-point demands put forth by the Madhesi Morcha.

The other demands of the party include declaring martyrs killed during the Madhes movement, treatment for the injured, releasing detainees and withdrawal of cases filed against the party cadres without condition.
