Know MoreKATHMANDU, Aug 18: The Bill for the Amendment of the Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act (third amendment), 2022 has been presented to the National Assembly (NA) with a message from the House of Representatives (HoR).
Ajay Kumar Chaurasia, the minister for law, justice and parliamentary affairs, submitted the bill on behalf of the government in the NA meeting on Sunday. Minister Chaurasia presented a proposal in the NA that ‘along with the message from the HoR, a Bill for the Amendment of the Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act (third amendment), 2022 be considered.
The bill has already been passed by the HoR. Currently, the members of parliament (MPs) are continuing to provide their views on the bill.
