Wins for Kumari, Baneshwar

KATHMANDU, Dec 5:  Kumari Futsal and Baneshwar Recreation Center on Monday registered thumping wins in the Red Bull National Futsal League underway in the capital. 

Home team Kumari overcame BG Brothers 15-2 after Avishek Rijal scored a record 10 goals in a single match of the tournament. Dikesh Khadgi scored a hat-trick while Rupesh Chhetri and Subhet Lama scored one goal each. Narayan Sambahamfe scored two goals for the losing side. Avishek was declared the man-of-the-match. 

Following the win, Kumari has climbed to second position with 26 points from 12 matches in Group B. BG Brothers stands seven with 19 points in the same group. Sankhamul Futsal is on top of Group B with 28 points while Tahachal is third with 22 points.  

In another match, visiting Baneshwar edged past Chaur Recreation Center 8-2. Dipu Lama scored a hat-trick for the winning team while Purna Bahadur KC added two goals. Kurfew Rasaili and Manish Chaudhary were also on target for the winning side.  Baneshwar's Purna was declared the man-of-the-match. 

The result puts Baneshwar on top of the standings with 28 points from 12 matches in Group A. Meanwhile, Chaur hits the bottom of the table with seven points from as many matches played. Kick Off is in second place with 27 points while Dhuku is third with 22 points.
