KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Tahachal Futsal climbed on top of Group B in the Red Bull Futsal National League with a thumping 9-2 win over Highway Futsal on Friday during the match held in the capital. 

The man-of-the-match declared Ram Kumar Kumal alone netted five goals for Tahachal Futsal. Raj Shahi netted twice while Anil Tamang and Suji Budathoki also netted one each for the winning team. Ramesh Tamang and Jangbu Sherpa were on target for the losing side. 

With the win, Tahachal earned 13 points from six matches while Kumari and Harisiddhi Futsal are second and third respectively with 11 points apiece in Group B. 

In Group A match, White Horse Futsal edged past Adarsh Futsal 3-2. Pranesh Gorkhali and Manjeel Maharjan scored one goal each for White Horse while it was gifted with an own goal from Daniel Shrestha of Adarsh Futsal. Raju Budathoki and Dilip Tamang scored one goal each for Adarsh. 

White Horse has collected 10 points from six matches and stands third.

The league being held under home and away format features 16 teams of the capital. The winner will walk home with a purse of Rs one million and the runner-up will get richer by half a million.
