Sports for empowering women

KATHMANDU, June 29: Empowerment By Empowering Women (SEEW) on Wednesday organized girl’s football competition at the Janak Higher Secondary School in Gaidakot, Nawalparasi, and also distributed sports kits to the school. 

The match was organized with the theme of empowering women and girls through sports, according to SEEW Founder Samjhana Phuyal.  

Besides trophy to the winning team, other sports kits like footballs, nets, volleyballs, basketballs, badminton rackets, ropes, toys for kindergarten kids along with stationeries were jointly handed by Phuyal and Polish citizen Daria Mejnartowicz to Janak School. The sports equipment were collected by Mejnartowicz from Poland.
