KATHAMDNU, Aug 26: Shree Kumari Club recorded second win in a row on Friday in the Martyrs Memorial B Division League football tournament while Pulchowk Sports Club and Chyasal Youth Club recorded their first win in the matches played in the capital.

A lone goal from Subarna Samekham in the 73rd minute was sufficient for Shree Kumari to register a 1-0 win over Mahabir Club played at the APF ground in Halchowk. The second win in a row puts Shree Kumari level on points with Ranipokhari Corner Team on top of the table. Mahabir is yet to open account in the points table after the completion of second round matches.

In the day's first match at the same venue, Pulchowk recorded a convincing 3-0 win over Satdobato Youth Club. Purna Bahadur Gurung netted twice for Pulchowk, that had gone down 4-5 against Tushal in the opening match. Purna netted the opening and the last goal in the 11th and 86th minutes. Mandip Thapa scored in the 25th minute.

The first win of the campaign fetched Pulchowk three points. Satdobato also has three points after beating Boys Union 3-0 in the opening match.  

In the only match of the day played at ANFA ground, Satdobato, Chyasal pulled a 2-0 win over Tushal. Arun Shrestha drove the Lalitpur-based team ahead in the 12th minute. Rabin Byanjankar sealed the victory in the 64th minute.

Following the result, both the teams have three points each from two matches. Chyasal was defeated 2-1 by Shree Kumari in its opening match.
