RSP to prohibit nepotism in political appointments, form ministerial support group

KATHMANDU, March 17: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to completely ban nepotism in political appointments. Also, while implementing the concept of a party that elects those who know, it has been said that 'meritocracy' will be the main basis while keeping in mind inclusiveness.

Moreover, the party has decided to prioritize meritocracy while ensuring inclusivity to create a party that elects the knowledgeable.

RSP made this decision on Sunday after reviewing the work, experience and weaknesses of the ministries led by their party for a week.

Similarly, the meeting decided that those who make unfair recommendations for transfer, promotion and appointment can even be terminated by the party.

This decision was made during a meeting attended by ministers, Vice Chairperson Swarnim Wagle, General Secretary Mukul Dhakal, and MP Shiri Khanal, held every Sunday.

Similarly, the meeting also decided to form a support group of experts and experienced professionals to support the ministries.

The party, led by Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, joined the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government during Cabinet reshuffle a week and a half ago. Lamichhane has assumed leadership of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the role of Deputy Prime Minister. Meanwhile, other members of the RSP have taken charge of the education, sports, and labor and employment.
